CEDEXA : a database containing 195 000 French companies with their corresponding CEDEX CODE.

CEDEXA is a file which contains the complete geographical and geopostal addresses of 195 000 companies in France and their corresponding CEDEX codes. The file is collected from the CEDEX Distributing Offices and is then validated by the 2 Address Centres of LA POSTE SNA.

The CEDEX code

The CEDEX (Courrier d’Entreprise à Distribution EXceptionnelle - special business mail delivery service) code, which is comprised of five digits, allows business mail to be routed on a priority basis. It is an essential tool for BtoB (Business to Business) commerce.

Introduced into a data entry or address processing software, CEDEXA can be used to :

• check, correct or complete the CEDEX addresses of your business customers.
• ensure that addresses are spelled correctly and that they comply with the standard, in order to ensure that routing and delivery are as efficient as possible.
• find the CEDEX address based upon the geographical address.
• reduce the number of redundant entries.
• guarantee rapid mail delivery.

More than 10 000 new CEDEX codes are created every year.
