CHANGES TO THE REFERENCE FILES

CHANGES TO THE REFERENCE FILES HEXAPOSTE / HEXAVIA

Changes to the structure of files or a need for greater exactitude of information provided have been made essential. These modifications are linked to users’ requests and to developments which have become obligatory as a result of this market opening up to competition.

Taking into consideration numerous requests from users, which were discussed and validated with a large sample-group of users (at ‘Meetings About Address”) led us to create additional levels of information, such as thoroughfare homonyms in the same commune (between a named-place and commune, for example), or synonyms of type L3 for information found initially in Line 4, that has been “moved up” in the HEXALIGNE3 file, etc.

Regulatory developments concern a coherent and sole management system for named-places and the deletion of an element created by La Poste, which should now no longer appear : the fictive INSEE* code that specified the postal named-place.

These changes therefore bring about modifications to the formats and also to the programs that deal with geographical reference files (RSPV software) for establishing new management rules.

You will find below information about the main changes to be made to each of the files : HEXAPOSTE, HEXAVIA and HEXACLE.

A schedule for the implementation of these modifications is also available, as well as the main steps to be taken and the possible consequences, depending on the category which corresponds to your activity : RSPV software company, customer of these companies, user of one or several geographical reference files with a solution developed in-house, software company wanting to validate its RSPV software, user wishing to pass an Ev@ or Ev@+ test, or user in connection with the SNA’s After Sales Service.
