It is essential that the software which carries out good quality computerised processing procedures is efficient in order to correct addresses and ensure that they comply with the standard.
This is why La Poste, in collaboration with the FEVAD (Fédération des Entreprises de Vente à Distance - Federation of Mail Order Companies), has set up a Ratification Committee for RSPV (Restructuring, Standardisation and Postal Validation) software.
Whether you wish to entrust the processing of your addresses to a specialised data processing service provider or if you would like to purchase software in order to carry out these processing procedures within your own company, we can assist you in choosing the most efficient software.
Publishers and service providers selling or using ratified software have the right to mark the annotation - “software ratified by La Poste, x.x. version” - on their various sales and advertising documents.
How is this ratification granted ?
All data processing service providers and software publishers can apply for an audit of their RSVP software (solely for the part that concerns the processing of French addresses).
Their software is then processed on the premises of the SNA by a database comprised of both correct and erroneous addresses. During a session of the Ratification Committee, the results are subsequently examined according to previously established criteria which will determine whether or not ratification will be allocated to the software products making their application.
Ratification is valid for a period of 2 years. |
