Collections permanentes et expositions temporaires
Le musée possède 11 salles de collections permanentes, 4 salles d’expositions temporaires et une galerie d’exposition de 600 m2.
Les collections permanentes présentent l’histoire de La Poste des tablettes mésopotamiennes au XXIe siècle.
Tout au long de l’année le musée organise des expositions temporaires autour de l’art, l’histoire et l’écrit.
Welcome to “L'Adresse”, the French Post Office Museum in Paris which proposes a presentation of the history of France through the long and eventful history of French postal services from the Middle Ages to the present day. This institutional museum was founded in 1946 and is now one of the biggest of its kind in France. It houses the national collections of stamps and postal history items and is the repository for the heritage of La Poste, the French Post Office.
In the course of your visit, you will learn a lot about the history of France and the everyday lives of the French, as the changing postal service reflects their need to correspond, communicate and maintain social, political and trade relationships and of course loves and friendships.
The museum presents different kind of temporary exhibitions based on art history, writing or current events.
